MAIN SEQUENCE is a fast, “Rules-Necessary” science fiction RPG written by Matt Bryant.
It uses the WyRM System, originally found in titles like Warrior, Rogue & Mage and Resolute, Adventurer & Genius.
MAIN SEQUENCE characters have three Attributes (Soldier, Agent and Tech). They choose a handful of skills and Tags, some equipment, and then they’re off on their planetary adventures! Folks who are wanting a traditional space RPG with a little meat on the bone, but don’t want to be bogged down with bloated catalogs of tech or complex space battles will be at home in MAIN SEQUENCE.
As an added bonus: this version of MS also includes augmentations and planetside vehicles from my cyberpunk game WYRED. This makes MAIN SEQUENCE our “complete” sci-fi WyRM game. We’ve used these rules to run settings akin to Star Trek, Firefly, Alien and others!
The game remains free and available under the Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0 License.
The latest version — three-column pages that can either be printed out as-is or folded up “accordion style” for portable pamphlets to bring to the table. Also contains augments and ground vehicles.
MAIN SEQUENCE was written by Matt Bryant and uses content from Warrior, Rogue & Mage by Michael Wolf and Resolute, Adventurer & Genius by Audrey Winter and Jason Cabral. Additional content and rules by R.E. Davis
