Pretty simple post today: I whipped up some Tricube Tactics character sheets in Excalidraw, exported them, then made form-fillable PDFs. For those who don’t know: Excalidraw is an open-sourced, collaborative white-board app with a hand-drawn aesthetic. I especially enjoy it because you can work with it inside Obsidian.md (my favorite note-taking software of late) and it’s really handy for mind-mapping RPG ideas.
The character sheet is designed to visualize how much is under the hood of the system. It lists all the traits and combat styles with their sub-traits/styles. This allows for playing with optional rules, such as swapping out one sub-trait for another to diversify talent. I’ve also provided spaces for tracking all the other characteristics (speed, size, perks, quirks & afflictions). All resource tokens have a place, including a blank one for any new ones the GM may want. For example: I use a “Stuff” pool in Gonzo Mutoids to abstract spare parts, food and scrap.
In addition: I recreated the NPC stat blocks like they are in Tactics, because I thought they’re neat and I want them in my notes.
These sheets are provided here both in .excalidraw formats and form-fillable PDFs. Either format should be handy for GMs who use Obsidian, as well as look nice to print out for the table. I’ve also provided the .SVG files so you can load them into design software (like Affinity) and edit them to your liking.
